Liza Phillips has been surrounded by modern art and design all her life. She is an artist who has found a passion for color through her work. Her rug designs are made of the finest quality Himalayan wool, hand-knotted rugs made by Tibetans in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal.
The wool is rich in lanolin oil, which is important both for the absorption of the dyes as well as the plush texture for which Tibetan rugs are famous worldwide. Her manufacturers hand spin their wool and use traditional vegetable dyes or eco-friendly Swiss Ciba colors. Her rugs can be made in knot counts from 45 to 200 knots per inch. Each rug is made to order. |
