Boulder Lounge and Ottoman
Charles Wilson was inspired by the smooth, worn curves of a grinding stone he remembered from his childhood when creating this unique sofa. This lounge is designed with the back and sides formed of one continuous, warm sweeping curve of molded foam reminiscent of the texture of stone that has been slowly worn away by time and use. There are no sharp corners or sudden seams on this soothing, enveloping piece of furniture. It's all about comfort and serenity.
The gentle curves of the lounge curve around to embrace you like a gentle hug, enticing you to lean into it and relax. Don't overlook details like the way Wilson scalloped the interior curve of each side to allow you to really nestle into the lounge for complete comfort.
Complimenting the lounge perfectly is the boulder ottoman. Where the boulder lounge curves in, the ottoman curves out in graceful, sweeping curves that are exuberant and fun.
The lovely shape is equally comfortable for sitting on or leaning into. We like the idea of sitting on the floor with our backs propped against the curved foam embrace of one of the four sweeping sides of the ottoman. The same unique molded foam construction was used here with striking results. The nubby, oatmeal colored upholstery on the lounge reinforces the stone motif with the rich garnet color of the ottoman adding a striking counterpoint.
