Tattomi Relax
Designed by Ingo Maurer and Jan Armgardt, the Tattomi defies easy categorization. Is it an armchair? A chaise lounger? A new style of futon bed? Once you have one in your home, you'll know doubt use it in every incarnation possible - and fall in love with the Tattomi's versatility and understated style.
The Tattomi Relax is made of tubular iron with two directional pivots that make it easy to fold it into various shapes for comfortable sitting, reclining and even taking a comfortable nap. It's upholstered with Dacron strips over elastic bands and expanded polyurethane bands. You can bend the flexible frame so that the back and foot rests make an armchair, bed or a chaise lounge with two different reclining angles.
The clean, spare lines are emphasized by the simple cotton cover in bright orange that will add a nice bit of punch to any room. The covers are removable for easy cleaning and are available with or without a flat hem border. You can also get a matching accent pillow.
We love the versatility of the Tattomi Relax - what other piece of furniture can serve so many functions? Sit back with a drink in the evening, flip down one side for more relaxed lounging while you watch television, then convert it to a bed when a guest spends the weekend - all with one simple but stylish piece of furniture!
