The Greener Gadgets Design Competition went hand in hand with the 2008 Greener Gadgets Conference. The Conference, which was held this February in New York City, encourage participating designers to tackle some of the "green" issues of today like energy, materials and their lifecycle as well as social and educational aspects.
The EnerJar, designed by Matt Meshulam and Zach Dwiel, took top honors and is certainly a useful item that can ultimately help reduce energy consumption in any household by simply letting the user know just how much power is coming out of this appliance and that hair dryer.
