American alumni designer George Nelson would’ve been 100 years old this year, if he were still with us. From September 13, 2008 through Spring 2009, the Virta Design Museum has created a fantastic centennial celebration to honor the famous designer.
Nelson was not only a Yale degreed architect, he was also a modern furniture designer, a writer, an editor, a lecturer, an exhibition designer and a photographer. His reach was far and wide and his talents were astounding.
All of the designs on display show a correlation between all of his interests and serve to celebrate his lifetime achievements.
