At first, companies thought they were doing the right thing by going green.
But after the Greener Gadget Conference, a daylong fete filled with the likes of Hewlett-Packard, Intel, Sony and Nokia, they soon realized that there is a lot more to address than meets the eye.
Although companies are doing the right thing by becoming involved, the Conference made it clear that there is no standard for everyone, no practical approach to going green. There is also a gaping hole between corporate and consumers when it comes to green actions.
To get closer to a resolution, the Conference agreed that, although in its earliest of days, that they will strive to make green gadgets, close the gap between themselves and consumers and create a standard that will appeal to everyone.
Here’s to hoping next year’s Conference sees more answers than questions as we move closer to a solution for the cause.
