$75 million for a house!? Call them crazy but the collaborators behind the Portabello Estate, architect Brion Jeanette and businessman Frank Pritt III, say once you have had a tour of the lavish home, it will lay the case to rest.
Built to ease into its lot with the intent to follow the natural bend of the Laguna cliffs, Jeanette built the home with organic curvature which creates a more natural atmosphere, especially when combined with floor to ceiling glass windows that peer out over the great blue Pacific.
Portabello features two levels sprawled over three lots, which are gently caressed by the waves of the ocean. As one of the best views in one of the most expensive homes in North America wasn’t enough, the residence also features an art deco theater, a cafe, an auto museum, bowling alley and three pools.
$75 million sounds like quite the bargain for all of this lavishness doesn’t it?
