Most of us do our best work on a tight budget, minimal schedule or even by way of procrastination. Once we have come down to crunch time, we know it is do or die, all or nothing. Things are no different for those who call themselves architects or designers.
Susanna Sirefman shows us eighteen residential homes in her new book Modern Shoestring: Contemporary Architecture on a Budget.
In each story, owner’s were seeking an ultra modern design scheme with very little funding. And just like the rest of us, all of the architects found that the smaller the budget, the more creative the spirit.
