The Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt will announce the winners at the Third Annual National Design Week’s honoree gala dinner on October 23.
Though it first began in 2000 as a humble step forward by the White House Millennium Council to promote creative excellence, the National Design Awards have grown to much more.
Such names like Google Inc and Charles Harrison will be awarded in a span of categories including lifetime achievement, corporate achievement, design mind, architecture, communications, fashion, interior, landscape, and proud designs.
