Our families and friends all participated in Earth Hour 2009. We turned everything off except the TV - Hockey rules on Saturdays! After the game, we enjoyed a quiet evening amongst the flickering beeswax candles until the first morning hours. Earth Hour was a huge global success with 3,937 cities and towns turning off their lights across 88 countries. With almost a billion people mobilized, it was the biggest environmental demonstration in history!
