Great lounge light designed by one the greats, Philippe Starck. His Gun Lounge Gun Floor Lamp is a fascinating piece!
You can ponder over its symbolic representation for hours. It's an emotional lighting display. The traditional plasticized paper shade, perhaps being the immediate flashy shot of the gun and black perhaps representing death. The miniature crosses that line the inside of the shade - an infinite graveyard? You can also opt for the chrome model which projects a completely different impression.

an overmolded polymer coating and gloss 18K gold plated or chrome finish outlining an M16. I wonder, does the piece celebrate death or eternal salvation? Very interesting modern floor lamp.
