We love it the New Delhi Interior by Rajiv Saini seems ordinary at first glance, until you realize that the aura of sophistication comes from the extensive use of luxury materials such as brown, beige, and onyx marble and plenty of rich teak wood.
Rajiv Saini took on this modern design renovation in order to transform the upper level of a family home in to a sort of apartment for the tenants' son and his new bride. This project resulted in a private space for the new couple, equipped with everything a young family needs all wrapped up in a very attractive package.
The large bed-like Indian 'gadda', decked out in an attractive gray and green, was a special request by the tenants. Other interesting furnishings include the guest bed surrounded by an upholstered platform, the playful arrangement of pendant lights in the cozy living room, and giant separation screens cut from solid black granite.
This enviable contemporary interior is perfection. The New Delhi Interior is functional, simple, and absolutely splendid.
The Soho Penthouse seems too good to be true but here it is, right in front of our eyes! This luxurious design is unbelievably welcoming, filled to the brim with interesting objects and artwork.
The attention to detail is just incredible. Each individual piece of furniture displays the best properties of minimalist design but as a composition, the space is colorful, varied, and exciting. Light yellows and greens are a recurring theme, dressed up with rusty orange tones where needed for a very balanced result.
The covered patio is truly inspiring. The arrangement of the furniture is perfect for a large gathering and the shades are as attractive as they are functional. Outdoor modern design doesn't get any better than this.
We could spend hours gushing over the finer details, but we really want to know what is your favorite part of the Soho Penthouse? Your input is always appreciated.
If you have been looking for something a little different, the Athens Duplex by Spacelab Architecture will definitely inspire a few fresh interior design ideas.
Every room has a different color theme, turning a simple trip through the duplex into a stimulating modern design adventure. The living room features dark purple and an earthy green, furnished with plush couches and shapely coffee tables. The dining area also takes advantage of organic forms, including an incredible green and black dining set under a pair of sleek contemporary pendants.
Spacelab Architecture has the coolest name ever, but the spaces they design are even more incredible like the Athens Duplex, an enchanting home full of surprises. We are fascinated by the vivid details, diverse materials, and outstanding creativity this apartment definitely ranks as one of our favorites. What do you think?
Though the interaction between indoor and outdoor spaces is not the main attraction, it certainly plays a big part in making this Private Bed & Breakfast in Belgium by AABE such a delightful space to behold.
This generous exchange sets the tone for the warm interior design brick and stone mingle in a breathtaking display of creativity, creating a contrast between walls and furnishings that enhances the contemporary yet rustic-influenced interior.
The bare bulbs over the kitchen countertop are one of our favorite home decor features. What do you like about this Bed & Breakfast in Belgium? What would you change? Let us know in the comment section below!
Don't you love Holiday Coziness in a Scandinavian Interior? This beautiful interior design is bright, wide, and open but the charming Christmas decor really creates a sense of comfortable closeness classic toys and playful Santa motifs mingle with sophisticated ornamentation for a look that perfectly suits a growing family.
The dining centerpiece is just fantastic; it has a very grown-up contemporary feel for those intimate gatherings with the in-laws, but the white deer and tall candleholders immediately captured our hearts. Such a whimsical arrangement embodies the mystery and wonder of Christmas morning through the eyes of the inner child.
Creating holiday coziness in a Scandinavian interior looks like so much fun keeping things fresh and simple means that every little accent will make a huge impact, leaving so much room for experimentation.
Do you decorate for the holidays? If so, do you usually play it safe and simple with wintery home decor, or do you go all out with traditional favorites like tinsel and candy canes? We'd love to hear your decor stories!
The brilliant Sao Paulo Apartment Redesign by Kwartet Arquitetura features one of our favorite modern design themes when classic natural materials meet sleek contemporary styling. You just can't beat the way the elegant Eames Lounge is the perfect synthesis of the living area's characteristics: smooth lines, plush white upholstery, crisp black accents, and of course that gorgeous wood grain that so perfectly matches the Tauari floors.
The vivid yellow desk space gives the open living/dining room a huge "wow" factor such an unconventionally bright shade helps the space buck against the misconception that minimalist design has to be formal and stuffy.
Our favorite part is the treasure trove of travel goodies tucked away in the display corner, a must-have for those who love to interact with their unique vacation mementos. Which part of the Sao Paulo Apartment Redesign inspires you the most?
Neatly tucked into a tiny lot and inspired by the area's industrial roots, the Elegant Multi Story Residence in San Francisco hides a spacious contemporary interior and about 50 vertical feet of pure modern design inspiration.
Having the opportunity to peek into the home of an artist is always a pleasure and you can definitely see that the owners have dedicated time and energy to perfecting everything from furniture arrangements to color theory in order to evoke very specific emotional reactions. The living room, for example, uses a soothing palette of natural and neutral colors with the creative use of a striking red wall that echoes the activity-oriented purpose of the space.
And in case you were wondering, the Elegant Multi Story in San Francisco does, in fact, have an elevator. That incredible Brazilian cherry staircase is breathtaking in more ways than one!
Located within view of the beautiful Bosphorus, The House Hotel is a comfortable home away from home in an area filled with cultural landmarks and outstanding sights. The contemporary interior is crisp and inviting, but with a classic blend of old and new.
Ornate molding is a recurring detail, setting off the whimsical chandeliers that seem to drip from the ceiling. The sophisticated gray custom furniture, however, really stands out as a prominent modern design feature.
What do you think about the period blending used throughout this luxurious interior? Let us your thoughts on The House Hotel in the comment section!
The Pentagonal House by the Kazuya Morita Architecture Studio is, architecturally speaking, one of the most creative spaces we have had the pleasure of viewing for quite some time but the interior design fascinates us the most.
Classic furnishings mingle with outstanding custom pieces, many of which are meant to echo (and, in some cases, adapt to) the geometric shape of the innovative home. Texture and form are two dominating subjects wood grain draws the eye along a horizontal path, while contrasting home decor accents (spherical chandeliers, bright splashes of color, sculptural artwork) act as the perfect resting spot for a lingering gaze.
The Pentagonal House definitely wouldn't work in just any neighborhood, but this property is definitely enviable and inspirational.
We absolutely love the sophisticated Russian Hill House by John Maniscalco Architecture, and if you're a fan of earth tones you are sure to love it too! This minimalist design has plenty of warmth and is coordinated down to the finest details very impressive, to say the least.
The open living space includes a kitchen and living area, a very attractive setup; but it's the subtle repetition that really pulls this room together. You'll notice that the chrome legs on the Mies Van Der Rohe Barcelona chairs echo the shape and shine of the tables and the table tops seem to echo the large chocolate pendant and rustic dining stools. Overall, this is a very cohesive and calming modern design.
Check out the rest of the property, and you'll be sure to see the careful attention to patterns and repetition can you spot any of the subtle connections in the other rooms of the Russian Hill House?
