TentUI

TentUI (also written Tent UI) is a free, open-source component registry at tentui.com that extends shadcn/ui with animated, interaction-focused React components and production-ready landing page blocks ¹². Created by Sourabh Soni, a full-stack engineer based in Jaipur, India ³, the project launched in July 2026 ⁴.

The site describes itself as providing “copy-paste React components for the polished details most libraries leave to you” ². Rather than replacing a core component library, TentUI targets the specialized layer: micro-interactions, motion details, and domain-specific UI that would otherwise take significant effort to build from scratch ².

Installation

Components install through the standard shadcn CLI and land directly in the codebase as editable source files ². There is no runtime package or wrapper dependency. TentUI also provides an MCP server so developers can discover and install components from AI-enabled editors using natural-language prompts ⁶.

Licensing

TentUI uses a custom license (last updated July 18, 2026) that grants an ongoing, non-exclusive, worldwide license ⁷. Users may create unlimited end products, sell or distribute those end products, and modify components freely ⁷. Redistribution of source files and resale on marketplaces are prohibited ⁷.

He holds a Master of Computer Application degree and certifications from Google and Vercel ³.

The project’s changelog begins on July 19, 2026, with three initial components (Interactive World Map, Animated Arrow, and registry previews), and has shipped updates roughly every two to three days since ⁴.
